An Audlem lift is priced to the property, not from a fixed scale. The travel height, the model you choose and the demands of a canal-side cottage or a Georgian village house all shape the figure, so a domestic through-floor lift usually costs less than a commercial installation. We survey the property first, then provide a written, no-obligation quotation at no charge.

For most Audlem homes none is needed, because the lift sits entirely indoors as permitted development. The village conservation area around the square and the canal and its listed buildings are the exception, where internal changes to a listed home can also require consent. We confirm where your property stands before any work begins and handle the conservation and listed-building paperwork for you.

Three to five days is typical for an Audlem installation. Because the lift arrives factory-built and sits in a shallow 150mm pit, the home avoids the weeks of shaft and masonry work a conventional lift would involve. We agree the timetable with you in advance, so each stage is planned and the completion date is clear from the very start.

Yes. Even a low, snug canal-side cottage can usually take a lift, placed with care and finished to match the old brick and timber. The shallow pit and slim footprint reach the floor above with light work, so the character of the home is kept intact.

It depends on whether a wheelchair has to travel. A stairlift carries a seated rider and leaves the wheelchair below. A platform lift carries the wheelchair or scooter up with the user, between the floors. For an Audlem home where a wheelchair is in use, the lift is generally the more capable and longer-lasting choice.

Yes. Servicing is part of every OnLevel installation. Once your Audlem lift is fitted, our engineers come back on a regular plan to inspect and test it, across Hankelow, Buerton, Coxbank and Newhall, and respond quickly should a fault appear. Routine maintenance keeps the lift safe, reliable and compliant.

Very little. The OnLevel lift asks only for a shallow 150mm pit and houses no separate machinery, so a corner of a room or the space beside the staircase is usually enough. That is how it serves the canal-side cottages of the village, where a traditional shafted lift simply could not be built.

Yes. Our engineers hold SafeContractor accreditation under CN8516, and every Audlem lift is built to the EN 81-41 safety standard alongside Part M of the Building Regulations and BS 8300:2018. The work is carried out by our own trained teams rather than subcontractors, and each lift is fully tested, certified and signed off before handover.
