That is how it fits a narrow Otley terrace stepping up the hill, where a traditional shafted lift simply could not be built without heavy structural work.

Yes. Our engineers hold SafeContractor accreditation under CN8516, and every Otley lift is built to the EN 81-41 safety standard alongside Part M of the Building Regulations and BS 8300:2018.
