Less than people generally assume. A through-floor or shaftless platform lift takes up roughly the footprint of one armchair and needs only a shallow pit beneath. In a compact Seahouses cottage we can usually fit it into the corner of a downstairs room, rising into the bedroom above, so your everyday living space stays very nearly untouched.

Yes. Our engineers hold SafeContractor accreditation under CN8516, so their health and safety practices have been independently vetted. Every Seahouses lift is built to the EN 81-41 safety standard alongside Part M of the Building Regulations and BS 8300:2018, fitted by our own trained teams rather than subcontractors, and fully tested, certified and signed off before handover.
