It depends on whether a wheelchair has to travel. A stairlift carries a seated rider and leaves the wheelchair below. A platform lift carries the wheelchair or scooter up with the user, between the floors. For a Highcliffe home where a wheelchair is in use, the lift is generally the more capable and longer-lasting choice.

Yes. Servicing is part of every OnLevel installation. Once your Highcliffe lift is fitted, our engineers come back on a regular plan to inspect and test it, across Walkford, Friars Cliff, Mudeford and Hinton, and respond quickly should a fault appear. Routine maintenance keeps the lift safe, reliable and compliant.

Very little. The OnLevel lift asks only for a shallow 150mm pit and houses no separate machinery, so a corner of a room or the space beside the staircase is usually enough. Yes. Our engineers hold SafeContractor accreditation under CN8516, and every Highcliffe lift is built to the EN 81-41 safety standard alongside Part M of the Building Regulations and BS 8300:2018. The work is carried out by our own trained teams rather than subcontractors, and each lift is fully tested, certified and signed off before handover.
